Welcome to Nātch Photography (pronounced like “nature” but without the “err” at the end). A Landscape Photography site created during the midst of the 2020 Pandemic and during an unsettling time of social unrest. The idea behind the site’s creation was to offer family and friends nature photos that would provide warm, momentary distractions at a time when there were a great deal of not so good things happening in the world. And now I want to offer you the same. I want the photos to provide you with a warming effect created by a few of our shared world’s amazing sights of nature.
Death Valley National Park
(Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes)
The photos on this site are taken in such a way to allow you to see exactly what I saw at the moments when the pictures were taken. Hopefully you will have the same wonderful sentiments and emotions evoked as I did (without artificial enhancements).
With the exception of a few logged, forest bridges or distant buildings (rendering them tiny) in the background, you will not see man-made objects in the landscape photos on this site. I want to promote the earth's natural beauty and to leave you with the feeling that we all share something beautiful and something worthwhile appreciating and preserving. To do that, I rely heavily on ideal, natural lighting and without overwhelming edits and/or artificial additions. I equate my Nature Photography to natural food--- purposely without “additives or preservatives.”
Memaloose State Park (Columbia River Gorge)
Mosier, OR
The locations and/or brief descriptions of the pictures are provided in effort to incentivize you to visit the places in person. This is our planet to share. Just remember when indulging in nature's beauty to please serve as a wonderful steward and leave as small of a trace as possible to not only preserve the beauty but also for the the enjoyment of the next person. One Earth, One Love.
Galapagos Archipelago, Equador
There is a monthly electronic newsletter that I hope you subscribe to. In the brief monthly electronic newsletters, ONLY relevant information (location, site factoids, etc.) pertaining to selected pictures is discussed along with a few landscape photography tips. As a subscriber, you should also consider creating an user account to access free, high-resolution pictures from the Gallery (Download Section). I know the pictures will provide you with a warm reminder of a few of the beautiful wonders this earth has to offer. Let’s bring nature into focus together!!
